Regional Maintenance Assistant

Job Summary
Conduct weekly checks of maintenance materials to keep stock levels minimal, and ensure workshop, plant rooms, and engineering areas remain clean, safe, and free of debris. Enter defects and breakdowns in log books, coordinate third-party repairs when necessary, and respond promptly to Housekeeping maintenance requests. Carry out timely repairs as logged in the daily maintenance book and take ownership of Brand standards, Mystery audit standards, and proactive property maintenance schedules including painting and decorating. Maintain professional relationships with all Hotel staff and complete all required reports and documentation accurately. Be on call as required to ensure continuous guest service.

- Proactivity in ensuring external surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy
- Ability to ensure workshop, plant rooms and engineering areas are clean and in safe condition
- Ability to remove debris or litter from areas
- Ability to enter defects and breakdowns in log books
- Ability to create and maintain a pleasant and professional relationship with all members of Hotel staff
- Ability to carry out timely repairs to all parts of the hotel
- Ability to co-ordinate repairs through a third party if deemed required
- Ability to respond to Housekeeping maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Ability to ensure reports, returns and documentation are completed accurately and timeously
- Ability to be on call as and when required
- Ability to take ownership for Brand standards and excellent operation standards
- Ability to ensure Mystery audit standards are being adhered to
- Ability to carry out a proactive approach to maintaining the fabric of property
- Ability to manage painting and decorating schedule
- Ability to manage maintenance contracts
