Job Summary
Design and facilitate professional development sessions to support teachers and leaders in implementing evidence-based ELA practices. Collaborate with National Coaches and the Academic Services Team to develop effective ELA instruction, while conducting regular classroom observations to identify strengths and growth areas. Collect and analyze ELA data to monitor student progress, inform instructional decisions, and develop improvement plans with campus and regional leadership. Communicate regularly about student progress and initiatives, and participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with ELA research. This full-time hybrid role in Jacksonville supports campus leaders to ensure optimal engagement for all students.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid teaching certification
- Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience as an ELA coach, instructional coach, or schools leader
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based ELA practices and instructional strategies
- Demonstrated ability to design and facilitate effective professional development sessions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong data analysis skills and experience working with data to inform instructional decisions
- Knowledge of current ELA trends and research
- Preference will be given to candidates who live in the region, or who are willing to relocate
- Travel 1-2 times per year for team stepbacks or meetings
