Job Summary

Regional Lead – Rail Engineer responsible for providing regional leadership for railroad projects, leading the planning, design, coordination, and delivery of rail projects across a regional portfolio, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. The role requires senior technical leadership in rail design (geometry, grading, drainage, and related infrastructure), mentoring engineers and staff, managing key client relationships, pursuing business development and proposals, coordinating with federal/state/local agencies, ensuring QA/QC across projects, and traveling regionally for meetings and site visits. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a PE license, 10+ years of rail/transit infrastructure experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with clients, rail operators, public agencies, contractors, and internal teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in rail, transit, railroad infrastructure, and transportation / land development engineering projects
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary rail engineering projects and managing client relationships
  • Strong business development, communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel regionally as needed to support project delivery and client engagement

Desired Qualifications
