Job Summary

Regional Lead – Rail Engineer responsible for providing regional leadership for railroad projects, guiding design and delivery of track, terminals, yards and sidings across multiple states, developing client relationships, leading engineering teams, mentoring staff, and supporting business development and QA/QC initiatives; requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field), PE license, 10+ years of rail/transit experience, CAD proficiency, and ability to travel regionally.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in rail, transit, railroad infrastructure, and transportation/land development engineering projects
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary rail engineering projects and managing client relationships
  • Strong understanding of design standards for track, at-grade railroad crossings, grade-separated structures, and utility crossings
  • Experience mentoring technical staff and leading engineering teams across multiple projects or offices preferred
  • Understanding of CAD platforms and standard engineering software applications
  • Strong business development, communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative and team culture
  • Willingness to travel regionally as needed to support project delivery and client engagement
