Job Summary
Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and follow-up care across Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. Mentor and support nurse practitioners and physician assistants throughout the region while reviewing complex cases to promote safe, evidence-based care. Standardize clinical documentation, treatment practices, and quality expectations by partnering with medical, clinical, and operational leadership on performance-improvement initiatives. Monitor clinical performance to identify opportunities for improving patient outcomes and build collaborative relationships with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and facility leadership. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation while providing in-person regional coverage as needed. This full-time weekday position includes no weekend work and an annual salary of $200,000.
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- significant psychiatric experience
- Active and unrestricted New York license
- Active DEA registration
- Previous clinical leadership, provider mentorship, or team-lead experience
- Strong expertise in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, psychopharmacology, and treatment planning
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx
- Ability to balance clinical responsibilities with leadership and provider support
- Excellent leadership, communication, organization, clinical reasoning, and relationship-building skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience serving adult and geriatric patients in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or post-acute settings
