Job Summary
Provide IT service coordination and assistance to users across Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia-Pacific region, handling end-user support, hardware configuration, and remote or on-site troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, and basic networking. Collaborate with global specialists to manage incident and request triage, while assisting in the implementation of IT policies, maintaining accurate records, and overseeing procurement and deployment of equipment. Maintain local communications rooms and travel frequently within the region, including long spells in Melbourne and busy periods requiring up to one week per month for change delivery or support. Manage triage of incidents and requests within regional time zones while ensuring compliance with IT security standards and incident management procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or applicable industry experience
- Experience making changes in data centres with instruction from others
- Experience working with Microsoft technologies including 365, AD, MIM and InTune
- Experience in providing first line IT support
- Familiarity with MS Windows 10/11 operating systems
- Proficiency in problem solving techniques, troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Familiarity with troubleshooting desktop and basic network problems
- Experience in configuring and maintaining computer systems and peripherals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Some awareness of IT security
- ITIL qualified or can demonstrate a basic understanding of Incident Management and Request Fulfilment
- Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems
- Willingness and ability to travel
