Job Summary
Facilitate and implement after-school program activities for K-12 students while supervising their participation in hands-on, engaging, and experiential learning. Deliver individual and group instruction to elementary students, manage classroom discipline, and prepare daily materials and equipment. Monitor student progress, maintain attendance logs, and communicate regularly with parents. Operate within a 20-mile radius across North Orange County, covering open shifts Monday through Friday from the Santa Ana Home Office. Earn an attendance incentive bonus of $1.00 per hour based on reliability metrics.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 48 semester units or 60 quarter college units or pass NCLB test
- Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting)
- Provide a clear TB test
- Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal)
- Curriculum and instructional strategies appropriate to assigned responsibility
- Proper English grammar, spelling, and math
- Simple record-keeping and filing techniques
- Appreciation of community and school district cultures and languages
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Implement effective after-school instructional activities
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Work confidentially and with discretion
- Perform clerical duties and essential job functions
- Seeing, hearing, and speaking to monitor and exchange information
- Dexterity to operate instructional equipment
- Bending, kneeling, or crouching to assist students
- Standing or sitting for extended periods
- Lifting or moving objects up to 30 lbs
- Must be available Monday–Friday for the entire shift schedule
- Must be willing to travel within the designated regional area (XX-mile radius) to cover site needs
- Must have reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Current auto insurance on file with Human Resources
- Word processing and standard office software
- E-mail, internet, and web-based applications
- Zoom, Google Classroom, and other digital learning tools
Desired Qualifications

- Previous experience in educational or recreational settings
