Job Summary
Represent Wise Security Squad by creating strong partnerships with European legal entities to reduce Information Security and Technology risk aligned with regional market expectations. Work closely with regional risk, compliance, and engineering teams to provide tailored risk views, leading security responses for license applications, annual certifications, and ad-hoc audits. Evaluate Group Security controls against regional obligations and support the global certification process for ISO27001, PCI-DSS, and SOC1 & 2. Prepare risk updates for Europe entity committees and the board while assisting with other Information Security activities as needs arise. This role requires a fit and proper check with the National Bank of Belgium and may involve travel to Brussels for regulator meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Significant Information Security or Technology Risk Management experience
- Demonstrable understanding of the European Financial Services regulatory landscape and requirements
- Relevant Information Security Certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC)
- Experience of building enduring relationships in a complex international organisation
- Effective communicator, able to communicate technical issues into business language
- Ability to get results through collaboration and partnership with diverse teams
- The holder of this role will need to undergo a fit and proper with the National Bank of Belgium
- Must be able to travel to Brussels to meet the regulators if required
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience of working with regulators is an advantage
