Job Summary
Regional Industrial Engineer responsible for defining, managing, and executing process-improvement initiatives across SunGro plants and bogs in New Brunswick and Quebec. Lead evaluation, implementation, and commissioning of capital projects, manage capital spend and budgets, draft and design layouts for efficiency using CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), review engineering specifications, and support standardized CMMS adoption. Apply lean manufacturing and SOME methodologies, perform statistical analyses to determine staffing and production standards, and travel frequently (up to 75%) to map harvesting and peat-processing steps. Collaborate with vendors, staff, and management to drive cost reductions and resource optimization. Requires bilingual English/French communication, strong project management, and ability to translate policies and procedures across sites. On-site at multiple plant and bog locations with full driver’s license; willingness to live in assigned area; safety-sensitive position.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
- PMP designation preferred
- 7+ years’ experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments
