Regional Float System Administrator

Manage the installation, maintenance, and proactive monitoring of hardware assets and customer applications across a geographical region, including servers, network devices, and specialized peripherals. Enforce security controls aligned with Department of State policies by administering Active Directory, managing vSphere/OS remediation, and applying vendor patches and database updates. Ensure system confidentiality, integrity, and availability by executing regular backups, restoring data, and coordinating hardware upgrades, consolidations, and equipment retirements. Log and resolve all incidents and service requests in Service Now, document configuration changes, monitor system performance for anomalies, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation and site topology diagrams. Provide regular status reporting on activities, manage internal project coordination, and notify management of risks such as power outages or environmental issues. Travel by land or air up to 50% of the time to support offices throughout the United States.
