Job Summary
Oversee regional field operations for ~50 remote professionals across 25 locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Manage technician utilization to meet billable hour targets and drive throughput for onsite mobile maintenance services. Prioritize incoming repair orders for completion and invoicing while implementing process improvements to minimize turnover and optimize capacity planning. Report on internal and external KPIs, safety metrics, and financial performance to the Senior Operations Manager. This remote role requires 30-40% travel and resides within the managed region.
Required Qualifications
- Ten+ years of relevant experience in managing large fleets and maintenance
- Builder of culture in a team-oriented environment
- Strong desire to put team members in a position to be successful and guide them to positive business outcomes
- Strong communicator with the ability to artfully influence, persuade and drive action
- A collaborative management style and a strong customer service orientation
- Demonstrated ability to set expectations, hold team members accountable, and use performance management methods when necessary
- Ability to receive feedback including customer surveys, KPI results, and executive guidance and implement program changes quickly to improve results
- Great communication and data skills including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proven experience in management for operations, planning, maintenance, and customer service
- A business focused way of thinking and a strong hands-on, results-driven mentality combined with a high desire to work strategically
- Responsive, creative, resilient, resourceful
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk or hear
- Frequent use of hands and fingers
- Ability to feel and reach with hands and arms
- This is a remote position that may require up to 30-40% travel
- Candidate will preferably reside within the region managed
- Candidates will be required to pass a background check
Desired Qualifications
- Candidates with a strong and diverse background in automotive and diesel repairs
- servicing a large fleet of light, medium and heavy-duty equipment to include gas, electric, and diesel-powered vehicles
- Candidates should also be well versed in process improvement, operational best practices, and financial efficiency
- ASE certification program with fee reimbursement and bonus
