Job Summary
Diagnose issues and perform maintenance and repair on complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems for rental and customer-owned heavy equipment and aerial lifts. Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track service intervals, order parts, and pull data from hundreds of makes and models to determine root causes and corrective actions. Practice safe job practices, assist in training lower-level technicians, and maintain electronic documentation of work performed daily. Travel to customer job sites for repairs when required and assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts. Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with overtime pay available after 40 hours, with weekend on-call only for special circumstances.
Required Qualifications
- Must own tools applicable to position
- Ability to travel weekly to support business needs
- Advanced mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge of tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction equipment
- Advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
- Must be able to move freely
- Must be able to stand freely
- Must be able to stoop freely
- Must be able to bend freely
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Must be clean shaven
- Must pass a 10 panel drug screen
- Must pass a background check
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Trade school certificate
- Experience in field service
- Experience in maintenance and repair
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements
