Job Summary
Develop and execute data-informed membership recruitment and retention strategies within the assigned region, including scheduling and delivering a minimum of six events per month during peak season. Provide training, mentorship, and recognition to members and volunteers while conducting at least four in-person field visits monthly to support Service Unit teams. Build partnerships with community organizations and schools to increase visibility, manage volunteer conflicts, and resolve sensitive issues as needed. Document all communications in Salesforce and deliver exceptional customer service to youth, adults, and community members. This role supports the Mission Delivery Membership team at Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts, requiring 70% field work and 30% administrative duties in a flexible hybrid model.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or a minimum of two (2) years of professional work experience in membership organizations, sales, community organizing/engagement, volunteer support and coordination or other relevant/transferable experience
- Strong interpersonal, public relations, and customer service skills with a demonstrated ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships both internally and externally
- Effective presentation skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently in both formal and informal settings to diverse audiences of varying sizes (youth, adults, and community members)
- Highly organized with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple events and projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability, with the capacity to assess situations, navigate diverse personalities and environments, and implement effective solutions
- Sound judgement and strong decision-making skills, including the ability to manage conflict and maintain professionalism in challenging situations
- Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve practical issues while effectively managing competing priorities and variables
- Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies, systems, and tools
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment; demonstrates adaptability and flexibility
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and be willing to travel regularly throughout the council service area
- Access to a motor vehicle
- Successful completion of background checks
- Maintain an active Girl Scout Membership
Desired Qualifications
- Being bilingual in English and Spanish, Portuguese, and/or Haitian Creole
- Experience supporting and managing volunteers, including recruitment, engagement, and retention
- Prior Girl Scout experience or similar youth-serving or membership-based organization
- Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems or data management tools; familiarity with Salesforce
- Background in sales or revenue-generating roles
