Job Summary
Coordinate and lead the local 4-H program by overseeing community clubs, managing volunteer placement, and ensuring compliance with Purdue University and Indiana State 4-H policies. Support youth and volunteer enrollment through 4honline, serve as a direct supervisor to volunteers, and act as the regional connection to state staff. Develop local and regional experiences, prioritize statewide curriculum implementation, and facilitate culminating events recorded in Fair Entry. Provide registration support, attend and chaperone the annual National 4-H Trip, and participate in required professional development. This Professional 2 role in Osgood, IN requires a Master's degree, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel using a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement. Evening and weekend work is integral to the position.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree
- 6 months of experience in educational program development, implementation, and evaluation and/or in educational program management and/or volunteerism and/or organizational systems
- In lieu of degree, an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered (Bachelor's + 2.5 years of experience)
- Possess strong communication skills
- Leadership, mentoring, teamwork, and group process skills
- Knowledge of basic educational methods
- Ability to work with new and existing clientele and stakeholders
- Critical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills
- A valid U.S. driver's license or dependable transportation
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed within and beyond the county of assignment
- A Background Check is required for employment in this position
- A background check and MVR check is required for employment in this position
- Travel using personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided) and evening and weekend work is an integral part of this position
- FLSA: Exempt (Not Eligible For Overtime)
