Job Summary
Coordinate and lead the local 4-H program by overseeing community clubs, managing volunteer placement, and ensuring Youth Protection policies are followed. Support youth and volunteer enrollment through 4honline while acting as the direct supervisor to volunteers delivering regional programming. Serve as the primary liaison between local affiliates, state staff, and the university to promote educational opportunities and implement statewide curricula. Develop local experiences, chaperone the annual National 4-H Trip, and assist in hiring county support staff. This role requires a Master's degree, six months of program management experience, and the ability to travel using a personal vehicle for evening and weekend duties.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree
- 6 months of experience in educational program development, implementation, and evaluation and/or in educational program management and/or volunteerism and/or organizational systems
- In lieu of degree, an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered (Bachelor's + 2.5 years of experience)
- Possess strong communication skills
- Leadership, mentoring, teamwork, and group process skills
- Knowledge of basic educational methods
- Ability to work with new and existing clientele and stakeholders
- Critical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills
- A valid U.S. driver's license or dependable transportation
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed within and beyond the county of assignment
- A Background Check is required for employment in this position
- A background check and MVR check is required for employment in this position
- Travel using personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided) and evening and weekend work is an integral part of this position
- FLSA: Exempt (Not Eligible For Overtime)
