Job Summary
Regional Driver operates Class A CDL on long-haul OTR routes across interstate travel, conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintains logs of hours of service, mileage and fuel, ensures cargo is secured, communicates with dispatch for route updates, follows DOT safety protocols including PPE and biosecurity for agricultural products, and represents Hickmans Family Farms with professional customer service while performing basic vehicle maintenance checks and other related tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- DOT Medical Card and ability to pass required physical and drug screenings
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL driver
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service (HOS) compliance
- Excellent communication skills with dispatchers, customers, and team members
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules
- Physical capability to load and unload cargo and perform basic vehicle inspections
- Willingness to work overnight routes, weekends, and extended hours
