Regional Director Referral Management

Job Summary
Develop system-wide referral management strategies, workflows, and processes while collaborating with hospital leadership, business development, and external partners to achieve organizational goals. Direct efforts to standardize and centralize referral management, prior-authorization, and scheduling workflows across regional departments, partnering with Epic Build and Informatics to optimize work queue builds and training materials. Advise the Analytics department on reporting, KPI development, and productivity metrics, while managing direct reports to achieve departmental financial benchmarks. Lead hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluations of staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and integration of the Partners-in-Caring culture. Requires seven years of healthcare experience with three years of direct supervisory experience, reporting to the AVP of Referral Management.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
- Ability to influence, motivate, manage, train, direct, counsel and develop staff
- Communication and positive employee relation skills
- Knowledge of regulatory standards for compliance
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Proven organizational skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and present information publicly
- Ability to communicate in writing clearly, concisely, thoroughly, and accurately
- Strong background and understanding of Healthcare Technology
- Ability to lead and implement change
- Demonstrates commitment to the Partners-in-Caring process

- Seven (7) years of healthcare experience in an ambulatory/outpatient environment
- Knowledge of the referral process
- At least three (3) years of direct supervisory experience leading teams
- Experience with referral management workflows, systems, and/or centralized referral center process
