Regional Director of Sales

Job Summary
Develop and execute property-specific and global strategic sales plans to drive occupancy, increase RevPAR, and expand account volume. Travel to assigned properties at least 50% of the time to educate Sales teams and General Managers on best practices, lead sales meetings, and implement changes to sales efforts. Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports to identify market share challenges, trends, and new opportunities, while negotiating business and developing special events to showcase hotels. Partner with local organizations to maintain community standing and manage the Lodging Corporate Sales budget in accordance with procurement guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of Sales experience at Extended Stay, Select Service or Full-Service hotels
- Must be detail oriented
- Strong self-organization
- Communication skills
- Excellent cross functional collaboration skills
- Creative problem solving
- Follow through
- Ability to satisfactorily perform each essential duty/responsibility
- Must be able to deal with customers and co-workers positively and respectfully
- Must perform duties safely and effectively
- Must be able to meet all criteria under physical demands
- Must be based or open to relocating to one of the following states: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts or Florida
- Must be conveniently located near a major airport

- Previous hotel Operations experience
- Experience in leading teams
- Ability to mentor and coach other leaders
- Preferred experience with CRM's such as CI/TY, Delphi and Envision, TravelClick (Demand 360 and Agency 360), CoStar
