Regional Director of Sales

Job Summary
Regional Director of Sales for the CSM Lodging portfolio overseeing hotel sales initiatives. Develops and executes property-specific and global strategic sales plans to increase occupancy and RevPAR and to grow account volumes. Provides interim coverage for vacant sales positions, trains Sales Professionals, and offers subject matter expertise to improve sales performance. Travels to assigned properties up to 50% to educate hotel Sales teams and General Managers on best practices, leads sales meetings, analyzes market trends, supports Direct Booking and Lead Generation efforts, and builds relationships with local schools, universities, Chambers of Commerce, and other community organizations. Partners with General Managers and Sales teams to negotiate and close business, reviews forecasts and reports, and collaborates with VP of Sales and corporate leadership on budgets and strategic priorities. Must be able to mentor Directors of Sales at hotels and manage cross-functional collaboration, ensuring adherence to SOPs and maintaining professional work environments. Remote-work arrangement is available with travel up to 50%, ideally based in one of the listed states.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of Sales experience at Extended Stay, Select Service or Full-Service hotels
- Multi-brand experience preferred
- Multi-property experience
- Must be detail oriented, with strong self-organization and communication skills
- Excellent cross functional collaboration skills
- Creative problem solving and follow through
- Previous hotel Operations experience preferred
- Experience in leading teams and the ability to mentor and coach other leaders
- Preferred experience with CRM’s such as CI/TY, Delphi and Envision, TravelClick (Demand 360 and Agency 360), CoStar
