Job Summary
Regional Director of Operations (RDO) – Developer Services oversees operational performance of developer-controlled communities across an assigned region, serving as the primary liaison between developers, builders, boards, and community management teams. Responsibilities include leading operational oversight of multiple communities, ensuring compliance with governing documents, budgets, and standards; supervising Community Association Managers and onsite staff; involvement in recruiting, onboarding, and retention; financial oversight including budgets and contracts; coordinating development and turnover from developer control to homeowner governance; and supporting transition activities, amenity openings, and model-center operations. Requires building strong relationships with developers, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders; frequent site visits and travel; and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Desired skills include leadership, client relationship management, knowledge of HOA governing documents, financial analysis, project management, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and community-management software. Certifications such as CMCA®, AMS®, PCAM®, or equivalent are preferred, as is a relevant state license where required. Education and experience combination may be considered in lieu of a formal degree, and the role involves regular travel throughout the assigned region.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Hospitality Management, Community Association Management, or related field preferred (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
- Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in community association management, property management, hospitality, or related industry
- Experience supervising multiple sites and management teams
- CMCA®, AMS®, PCAM®, or equivalent industry designation preferred
- State community association management license, where required
