Job Summary
Regional Director of Development responsible for leading major gift fundraising in the Denver market on behalf of the University of Nebraska Foundation. Manage a donor portfolio, identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift donors, and develop strategy for each prospect in partnership with Foundation colleagues. Foster relationships with alumni, community leaders, and engaged philanthropists, leveraging in-person visits and video technology to enhance connections and support the campaign’s mission. Role emphasizes travel with University and Foundation leadership to the Denver area, strong collaboration and organizational skills, and the ability to build authentic partnerships to advance philanthropic goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum Experience: 1-3 or 3+ years’ experience in development, communication, sales, or another related field
- Preferred Experience: Experience in higher education fundraising as a student or professional
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills across multiple mediums, including video conferencing
- Affinity to Nebraska
