Job Summary
Regional Director, Medical Science Liaison to lead scientific engagement and medical affairs across a defined territory in support of Phase 3 development and commercialization objectives. Serves as a scientific resource to investigators, healthcare providers, and strategic organizations; supports investigator engagement, protocol education, and disease-state awareness in ophthalmology, glaucoma care, and related areas. Build a scalable field medical organization, collaborate with Clinical Operations, Regulatory, and Commercial teams, manage advisory boards and key accounts, and represent SpyGlass Pharma at scientific congresses and meetings. Travel extensively (50-75%) within the United States. Located in a U.S.-based remote role with national travel requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry
- Experience in field medical affairs or MSL leadership
- Experience supporting ophthalmology, retina, glaucoma, or ocular hypertension
- Experience supporting Phase 3 clinical programs, investigator-sponsored research, or site engagement
- Strong understanding of clinical trial operations, GCP, FDA regulations, and compliant scientific exchange practices
- Demonstrated ability to engage with healthcare providers, academic institutions, and key opinion leaders
- Excellent scientific communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to travel 50-75% domestically
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced scientific or clinical degree preferred (PharmD, PhD, OD, MD, NP, or PA)
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device industry
