Regional Director, Field Sales - Matterport - Arlington, VA

Job Summary
Lead and coach a regional team of Outside Account Executives to drive Matterport’s growth across a geographic territory. Responsibilities include building a high-performing field sales team, driving new business and expansion, spending substantial time in the field (in-person meetings and live coaching), pipeline creation and management, forecasting, and CRM discipline. Collaborate with Sales Enablement, Product, Marketing, and senior GTM leaders to refine messaging and campaigns. Engage directly with key customers for strategic deals, negotiations, and long-term account expansion. Travel 40–50% to support sellers and build market presence; role is based on-site in Arlington, VA. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, 8+ years of sales experience (preferably SaaS), 3+ years of people leadership, travel ability, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 3+ years of direct people leadership experience managing outside or field sales teams
- 8+ years of sales experience, preferably SaaS
- Proven success selling complex, multi-threaded solutions to large organizations with long buying cycles
- Experience coaching sellers on account strategy, executive engagement, and multi-stakeholder value mapping
- Strong operational leadership with ability to design processes, build coverage models, and drive enterprise forecasting
- Ability to travel 50%+ within the sales region
- Current and valid driver’s license
- Satisfactory driving record prior to start
