Job Summary
Regional Development Applications Engineer role based in Zhubei, Taiwan, supporting KLA's inspection and review equipment for semiconductor manufacturing. Responsibilities include characterizing new systems and features via experimental design, data analysis, and documenting results in application notes and best-known methods; supporting product adoption and process optimization at customer fabrication facilities by developing deep expertise in KLA equipment and semiconductor manufacturing processes; resolving production issues, training customers and application engineers, managing local escalation, supporting product demonstrations and final acceptance, and communicating technology developments to Marketing; involvement in pre-sale and post-sale activities; travel up to 50% domestically and internationally; preferred experience in semiconductor process technology, voltage-contrast inspection, and SEM imaging; minimum qualifications include Master’s or Ph.D. in related fields.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Materials Science Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% (extended assignments of four to eight weeks)
