Job Summary
Data Center Facility Operations Director in Naperville, IL leading a 7x24x365 critical data center. Responsible for the overall quality and service of operation and maintenance of critical facility infrastructure, managing in-house facilities teams, coordinating with customers and vendors, developing MOPs/SOPs, auditing installed components, and delivering reliable performance metrics and reports. Leads the site, establishes regional goals aligned with corporate plans, drives incident resolution, supports customer relationships, oversees vendor and contractor coordination, and ensures readiness toward 99.999% uptime while guiding strategic and tactical operations for performance and reliability of power, cooling, electrical, and building management systems.
Required Qualifications
- 10-15+ years of data center facility operations and maintenance experience
- 5 years leadership experience in data center facility operations
- Budget / P/L responsibility
- Experience supervising a technical data center operations staff
- Previous experience as a Data Center Facility Manager
- Good presentation skills in leading meetings (both conference and in person)
- Superior analytical, planning and problem resolution skills
- Knowledge of Company Services and operations structure and support operations
- Microsoft Project, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc. - ability to create complex reports, forecast modeling, etc.
