Job Summary
Regional Controller leads accounting operations across Texas business units for a growing mechanical contractor. Responsibilities include leading month-end and year-end close, preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets and forecasts, monitoring KPIs, job costing, WIP schedules and variance analysis, ensuring GAAP compliance including percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, mentoring regional accounting staff, partnering with operations to drive profitability, supporting audits and compliance, and implementing process improvements and internal controls. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, 5–7+ years accounting, 2–3+ years leadership, strong GAAP/construction accounting knowledge, WIP reporting and job cost experience, and ERP experience (NetSuite or similar).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 2–3+ years of leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting
- Experience with WIP reporting and job cost accounting (required)
- ERP system experience (NetSuite or similar preferred)
