Job Summary
Lead regional finance for a growing HVAC/mechanical contractor in Texas; oversee month-end close and year-end close, prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts; monitor KPIs, job costing, WIP schedules, and variance analyses; ensure GAAP compliance including percentage-of-completion revenue recognition; oversee and mentor regional accounting staff; partner with operations leadership to drive profitability and financial discipline; support annual audits and internal controls improvements; opportunity for executive visibility and regional leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 2–3+ years of leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting
- Experience with WIP reporting and job cost accounting
- ERP system experience (NetSuite or similar preferred)
- Background in construction, HVAC, mechanical contracting, or service-based industries
