Job Summary
Recruit, train, develop, and supervise on-site staff while overseeing daily property operations to ensure financial goals are met through budget and revenue management. Conduct regular property inspections for maintenance, safety, and compliance with Fair Housing, landlord-tenant laws, and company policies. Manage risk by addressing preventative maintenance, insurance compliance, and capital improvement recommendations across multiple high-end multifamily communities in the Houston region. Maintain a valid driver's license and operational vehicle for regular local travel between properties. This role reports to the Regional Vice President within the Property Management team, driving operational excellence and resident engagement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Advanced degree in real estate, property management, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of property management or related experience
- Strong track record of success
- At least 3 years of on-site multifamily property management experience
- Ownership-level responsibilities for the resident rental lifecycle
- Experience across 5+ properties
- Equivalent experience to the above
- Proven experience managing A to A+ class high-rise or mid-rise properties
- Comparable luxury residential communities experience
- 3+ years of team management or supervisory experience
- On-site property management setting experience
- Valid driver's license
- Operational vehicle for travel between properties
- Valid automobile insurance
- Ability to sit, stand, climb, stoop, and remain at a desk for up to 8 hours or more
- Ability to walk the property for up to 8 hours (or more) in various weather conditions
- Ability to climb stairs for purposes of showing properties to prospective tenants
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. as needed
- Regular travel in the local region
