Regional Community Outreach Specialist - Psychiatry

Job Summary
Manage regional SOAR Awareness, Outreach, and Engagement activities across Ohio by identifying collaborators, scheduling community events, and preparing materials for speaking engagements. Facilitate organizational discussions to engage community stakeholders and assist research staff in promoting the initiative's goal of understanding root causes of mental illness and substance abuse. Coordinate with partner sites, students, and volunteers to encourage community participation while representing the SOAR Coalition to state agencies, public health, and justice sectors. This role requires minimum 75% in-state travel, evening and weekend availability, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- at least two (2) years of experience working in an organization that conducts community-based projects
- Valid Ohio Driver's license
- reliable transportation
- willingness to use for statewide travel

Desired Qualifications
- Experience developing and implementing marketing, outreach, recruitment, or promotional strategies to engage diverse community members and stakeholders
- Master's degree in field related to social science research
- Strong communication, interpersonal and outreach skills
