Regional Collections Manager, North Central (Nigeria)

Job Summary
Analyze regional portfolio and repayment trends to design daily, weekly, and monthly strategies that improve collection rates from delinquent customers. Conduct mystery market visits to validate sales quality and gather insights for strategic direction regarding lamp repairs and repayments. Provide weekly updates to zonal credit analysts on field interventions and customer insights while designing and operationalizing new collection processes. Collaborate with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives to repossess products from defaulters and report product tampering or fraudulent practices. Train agents on repossessions and difficult collection scenarios, driving operating rhythms to ensure timely completion of collection calls and repossession tasks. Recruit and set up cash collection centers for key areas.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma related to Finance, Community Development, Communication, Credit Risk Management or related fields
- At least 3 years of work experience in a similar position with field experience and collaborating with rural customers settlements
- Strong experience from Microfinance/ Fintech or banking background on Credit Collections debt recovery preferable
- Clear and straight to the point communication skills with fluency in English and Language of assigned territory
- Clear thinking/problem-solving ability
- Excellent issue-tracking and resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time diligently and accurately
- Ability to work with multiple sales teams and cross-functional teams seamlessly
- Familiarity with the territory
