Job Summary
Provide direct hands-on nursing care to residents by assisting with Activities of Daily Living, transporting residents via ambulation or wheelchair, and ensuring adequate hydration and nutrition. Respond to call lights for comfort and safety, perform accurate vital signs and intake/output monitoring, and manage meal programs including walk-to-dine activities and thickened liquid compliance. Report significant findings, observations, and incidents promptly to the Charge Nurse while maintaining effective communication with residents, families, and staff. Participate in care-planning conferences, continuous quality improvement, and restorative care to prevent complications. Work overtime as needed, including double shifts, and travel to any center within the region.
Required Qualifications
- Certified in the state as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Verbal ability is required to communicate with residents and to understand instructions received from nursing staff
- Able to perform a variety of activities characterized by change and short duration in caring for residents
- Ability to read and write and accurately report
- Valid driver's license and current auto insurance required
- Must be available to work overtime as needed, up to and including double shifts
- Must be able to travel to any center within the company
Desired Qualifications
- Experience preferred
- A preference for performing direct care services is a benefit
