Job Summary

Regional Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to support and advance clinical and pharmaco-economic initiatives across partnered hospital locations. Responsible for reviewing current clinical programs, contributing to performance improvement activities, developing training materials, presenting formulary initiatives, and potentially serving as interim clinical manager at client pharmacies. Duties include developing drug monographs, therapeutic interchanges, guideline updates, class reviews, drug shortage memos, medication use evaluations, policy/protocol development, staff training on new workflows, data gathering and reporting, patient-case review and recommendations, ensuring safe and efficient processes, troubleshooting daily operations, delivering education sessions (in person or virtual), implementing new programs, documenting activities, and acting as a clinical drug information resource. Requires strong collaboration with Regional Clinical Manager and Directors of Pharmacy, and travel to client sites. Bachelor of Science or PharmD, current pharmacy license, PGY1/PGY2 preferred, 3+ years hospital clinical experience, MS Office proficiency, and travel availability. This role is based in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, or Texas with potential state licensure expansion as needed and opportunities for interim leadership responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree required
  • Current license to practice pharmacy in the state of practice
  • PGY1 residency preferred
  • PGY2 residency with Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience and knowledge related to clinical pharmacy program in a hospital pharmacy setting
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel)
  • Ability to travel part time via plane, automobile, or other means with occasional overnight (up to 30-50%) and occasional weekend travel
