Job Summary

Provide clinical and regulatory oversight for nine long-term care facilities in Central and Southern Illinois. Conduct clinical audits, mock surveys, and compliance reviews to maintain ongoing readiness for IDPH and CMS surveys. Identify areas of risk and work with leadership to implement corrective action, while monitoring high-risk areas including infection prevention, wounds, falls, and staffing. Review survey findings, Plans of Correction, and compliance trends to standardize clinical policies across the organization. Assist facilities during surveys, investigations, and regulatory follow-up. Support Directors of Nursing and Administrators with clinical concerns through education, guidance, and accountability. Requires an active Illinois RN license and regular travel throughout the region.

Required Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted Illinois Registered Nurse license
  • Skilled nursing leadership experience in a Director of Nursing, regional clinical, nurse consultant, or compliance role
  • Strong knowledge of IDPH, CMS, and long-term care regulations
  • Experience with regulatory surveys, Plans of Correction, clinical audits, and survey readiness
  • Ability to identify clinical risk and implement effective corrective action
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and travel regularly throughout Central and Southern Illinois
  • Regular travel to nine long-term care facilities
