Job Summary
Operate late-model automatic Freightliner or Kenworth tractors hauling flat steel and steel pipe on regional routes averaging 2,300 to 2,800 miles per week. Secure loads using binders, chains, straps, and tarps, with tarping required on roughly half of all shipments. Earn 27% of total linehaul revenue, targeting a weekly gross of $1,500 to $2,000, plus a $300 weekly per diem and incentives for tarped loads, detention, and layovers. Work weekends at home for consistent rest. Maintain a safety record with no Clearinghouse violations or DUI/DWI convictions in the past five years.
Required Qualifications
- At least 22 years old
- Minimum of one year of flatbed experience in the last five years
- Specific history hauling and securing flat steel or steel pipe
- Fully capable of utilizing binders, chains, straps, and tarps for freight securement
- No Clearinghouse violations
- No DUI/DWI convictions within the previous five years
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment urine drug analysis
