Job Summary
Operate a commercial vehicle according to state and federal laws, transporting loads safely and timely over required routes while obeying traffic regulations. Deftly maneuver trucks into loading and unloading areas following crew signals, and assist with or perform loading and unloading of goods using specialized equipment. Maintain signed invoices and shipping documentation, and facilitate routine service checks on trucks including oil, water, and air levels. Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor. This role is based at the Advanced Solutions rental facility in Bakersfield, CA. Candidates must hold a Class A CDL or appropriate chauffeur's license, be at least 21 years old, and pass background and drug testing. EquipmentShare utilizes proprietary T3 technology to provide real-time fleet access and work order details to drivers.
Required Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points
- Ability to remain focused in a busy environment
- Must hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur's license depending on state, appropriate for weight of vehicle to be operated
- Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state department(s) of transportation regulations
- Must pass DOT physical, as trucks driven are over 10k lbs
- Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
- Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time
- Must be able to travel frequently
- CDL drivers may be required to be clean shaven in order to deliver to EquipmentShare customers who have this requirement
- This is a safety sensitive position and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen
- Employment is contingent on passing a background check
