Job Summary
Regional Category Growth Specialist responsible for developing and executing targeted category sales strategies to achieve regional and individual business goals, delivering profitable growth across categories and Sysco brand offerings. Role emphasizes leveraging data analytics to prioritize category opportunities, using Salesforce CRM for tracking, and applying a solutions-oriented approach to drive top penetration opportunities with customers and chefs. Responsibilities include maintaining relationships with customers and Sysco teams, supporting events and shows, providing feedback on product quality and value, and executing prioritized category opportunities to achieve a specified win-rate. Requires travel about 80%, strong communication, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to maximize category performance and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Sales or Marketing role
- Completion of post-secondary education or equivalent experience (CPSA designation preferred)
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- Travel required – approx. 80%
