Job Summary
Champion a culture of safety and continuous improvement while coaching project managers and engineers to execute the full capital portfolio across Corpus Christi, La Porte, and El Dorado sites. Oversee planning, forecasting, design, procurement, contracting, and infrastructure maintenance to ensure projects deliver safely, on schedule, and within budget. Collaborate with regional leaders to prioritize investments, align engineering capabilities with business strategies, and administer external engineering providers. Monitor project KPIs and provide engineering support for operations, including MOC and MIQA activities. Requires a Bachelor's in engineering with five years managing industrial capital projects and the ability to travel regularly. Based in Corpus Christi, TX, reporting to the Capital Execution & Center of Excellence Leader.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience managing industrial or manufacturing capital projects
- Experience with people management
- Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams in a dynamic environment
- Exceptional communication, organization, and prioritization skills
- Solid understanding of plant operations, capital project execution, and maintenance excellence
- Proven track record of building strong teams, delivering results, driving continuous improvement, and applying engineering best practices
- Ability to travel
- Regular travel to the La Porte and El Dorado sites
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with design contractors and external engineering providers
- Exposure to highly toxic materials and chemical manufacturing operations
- Strong background in procurement and contract management (T&M and Lump Sum)
- Advanced degree or certification (e.g., PMP, PE)
