Job Summary
Lead a team of Territory Managers and Associate Territory Managers to expand sales of BD products in the ARR space, managing financial resources and regional budgets. Develop thorough product knowledge across the portfolio, provide technical guidance to associates, and cascade organizational goals to individual levels. Manage the team's development by identifying talent needs, arranging specific projects, and participating in succession planning. Work with customers to anticipate needs, resolve operational problems, and solicit difficult concepts to drive profitability. Maintain detailed knowledge of competitive distribution, pricing, and discounts while ensuring compliance with the BD Way of Selling and quality policies. Travel extensively to meet customer needs, including potential observation of surgeries, and report significant market changes or credit status to Sales Leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 6 years healthcare sales experience
- Medical sales experience preferred
- Ability to travel up to 80%, including multiple overnights
- Must possess and maintain a valid drivers' license
- Driving record satisfactory to the Company
- Must possess and maintain a criminal background satisfactory to BD
- Must be able to meet and maintain customer/medical facility access requirements
- Regular or periodic drug screenings with a satisfactory result
- Minimum of 4 days of in-office presence per week
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19

- Understanding of contract administration and group purchasing
- Detailed understanding of the needs/analysis approach to sales
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to maintain vendor credentialing
