Job Summary
The Regional Business Development Manager will drive strategic growth across a multi-location region by increasing market share and gross profit through new business acquisition and account expansion. This role requires developing and executing a regional sales strategy, managing high-level relationships with regional clients, and preparing high-value proposals. Candidates must demonstrate extensive business development experience, particularly in the international freight forwarding space, and the ability to assess market trends and opportunities. Frequent travel within the region is required.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of business development experience, ideally within international freight forwarding and logistics services
- Experience with CRM and CMS tools
- Thorough knowledge of freight forwarding industry including air/ocean/imports/exports/customs brokerage operations
- Strong leadership presence and ability to influence cross-functional teams
- Skilled in consultative selling and managing complex sales cycles
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel frequently within the region
