Job Summary
Regional Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to lead and support multiple Spectrum School locations within Contra Costa County, providing tailored clinical and educational interventions, mentoring staff, ensuring program quality and regulatory compliance, and guiding data-driven decision making to improve student outcomes. The role involves delivering training on FBAs and BIPs, supervising staff pursuing BACB credentials, conducting regular quality checks, collaborating with campus teams, and participating in crisis management and on-site program development.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, special education or a closely related field of study
- Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) credential
- Hold currently or have the ability to obtain a valid CA state driver’s license
- Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management training
- Prior experience and/or knowledge in providing behavioral support, preferably in an alternative, special education and/or behavioral health program setting
- Well-versed in applied behavior analysis (ABA) including positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS), data-based decision making, functional behavior assessment (FBA) and behavior intervention plans (BIP's)
- Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals
- Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability
- Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment
