Job Summary
Regional Church Life and Leadership Associate to support CBOQ churches in the Trent Valley, Northern, Georgian Bay, and parts of the Toronto Association. The role focuses on fostering connections among churches, their boards and leadership, and providing pastoral and ministry leader support. Responsibilities include congregational support and revitalization guidance, assisting with pastoral placement, facilitating training in discipleship and evangelism, maintaining regular communication with CBOQ, organizing regional gatherings, and coordinating multiple portfolios such as church innovation, accreditation, and ordination. Travel is expected (approx. two Sundays a month plus additional visits) with travel expenses covered by policy. The position may be full- or part-time and requires a mature faith, alignment with CBOQ values, collaboration, leadership development, and the ability to work across regions with various stakeholders. Required Qualifications
- A demonstrated mature faith in Jesus Christ and a commitment to serve through the church
- Commitment to the mission, faith, and core values of CBOQ
- Accredited with CBOQ
- Experience as a pastoral leader within a local church
- Ability to collaborate with church boards and leadership
- Experience in leading and forming an organization internally
- Current or aspiring membership in a local CBOQ congregation
- Willingness to travel within the CBOQ constituency and more widely as required to represent CBOQ
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire others
- Master's level degree preferred, with a focus on ministry/theology
