Job Summary
Regional Assistant Plant Controller based in Nashville supporting multiple sites with up to 20% travel. You will work directly with the Regional Plant Controller to bring financial rigor to a manufacturing environment that is ready for it. This builder role focuses on establishing standard costing, inventory controls, and cross-site financial processes, with visibility to operations leadership from day one and direct impact on regional finance. Immediate priorities include stabilizing accounting processes, improving standard costing accuracy, and strengthening inventory control across multi-site locations. Responsibilities include managing the annual operating plan, monthly/rolling forecasts, weekly R&O and bridge processes, providing interpretive and predictive financial support to operations, evaluating CapEx business cases, optimizing inventory valuation and variance analysis, standardizing accounting processes across sites, and cross-functional collaboration with Operations and Supply Chain. Strong candidates will have 5+ years in accounting/finance, at least 1 year of leadership, a manufacturing background with standard costing, hands-on inventory and cost accounting experience, and comfort with ~20% regional travel. ERP implementation experience (any phase/system) and public accounting background (2+ years) with CPA are advantageous.
