Job Summary
The Regional Aquatics Director is responsible for developing and implementing the Aquatics Department, overseeing staff, program development, aquatic operations, and facility management. Key deliverables include ensuring safety and high-quality programming, maintaining member engagement, and compliance with regulations. Essential functions include implementing engagement activities, marketing programs, supervising staff, and responding to member concerns. Candidates should have prior aquatic supervision experience, certifications in lifeguarding and swim instruction, and a college or technical degree is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Previous aquatic supervision and experience
- Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications
- Lifeguarding Instructor and CPR/First Aid Instructor certifications
- YMCA Swim Instructor certification
Desired Qualifications
- Competitive swimming experience
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) certification
