Job Summary
Oversight of project cost accounting, revenue recognition, and profitability analysis, including invoicing, collections, expense management, and monthly reconciliations. Supervise a staff of project accountants and assistants through hiring, training, and mentoring to support future growth. Partner with engineers, regional leadership, and project managers to achieve financial performance goals via analysis and proactive guidance. Requires 10+ years of accounting experience with Deltek Costpoint or IBM Cognos, strong Excel skills, and regular travel to Dallas metroplex offices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business related field
- At least 10+ years' accounting experience
- Project or job cost accounting experience
- Supervisory experience leading and developing an accounting team
- Significant technical experience and associated quality assurance with Accounting software/MIS systems
- Demonstrated ability of ensuring quality related to the output and interactions of an accounting team
- Proven track record of having had significant interaction with senior management, staff, and other internal and external parties
- Ability to partner well with others at all levels of the organization and form effective relationships
- Possess strong oral and written communication skills
- Be a confident self-starter
- Pays close attention to detail
- Strong Excel proficiency
- Ability to travel regularly to our Dallas metroplex offices as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Accounting or finance preferred
- Industry experience preferred
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint
- IBM Cognos Reporting
