Job Summary
Region Sales Director role based in the Chicago area responsible for leading a multi-person sales team across Illinois, managing a multi-million-dollar portfolio, and driving strategic growth in Higher Education, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Industrial sectors. Key duties include hiring and coaching sales associates, developing programs and selling strategies, maintaining sound customer and supplier relations, handling key contract negotiations, and preparing regional sales forecasts and margin analyses. Requires a college degree or equivalent experience, 2-5 years of leadership experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to develop territory plans and drive results in a high-volume environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent/applicable experience required
- 2-5 years of leadership experience in team development and management preferred
- Valid driver's license required
- Strong outside sales experience preferred
- Experience with Salesforce or Qlikview preferred
- Demonstrated success in high-volume, performance-driven environments
- Excellent presentation, coaching, and communication skills
- Ability to develop territory plans and manage multiple projects
