Job Summary
Solicit livestock auction markets, dealers, and allied businesses for membership in LMA and LMIA while maintaining customer relationships for retention and coverage renewals. Act as a liaison for industry issues and payment inquiries, conduct on-site assessments of animal handling, and serve as executive secretary for state affiliate organizations. Obtain and maintain insurance licenses to sell policies, function as a mediator for claims, and provide documentation to process requests. Actively participate in state legislative and regulatory activities to influence industry policy and develop relationships with allied organizations and officials. Travel extensively across ten western states by automobile and airplane, with core availability from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a self-starter
- highly motivated
- people orientated
- Must have ability to safely maneuver livestock handling areas and stairs with occasional moderate lifting required
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must obtain insurance licenses in order to sell/service insurance products in assigned region
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or 4 years work experience
