Job Summary
Regional Director – Building Surveying role leading and growing the building surveying function for a Midlands region, combining strategic leadership, business development, client relationship management, and delivery of professional services (e.g., TDD, dilapidations, party wall, defect analysis; contract administration and refurbishment schemes). Responsible for informing regional strategy, driving revenue growth and profitability, overseeing project delivery to time and budget, managing resources and KPIs, mentoring and developing a high-performing team including APC support for MRICS candidates, and ensuring governance, compliance, and adherence to professional standards. Requires MRICS/FRICS with substantial leadership experience in building surveying, a strong network in UK property/construction markets, and a track record of securing new business, integrating mergers or acquisitions, and maintaining client satisfaction. Emphasis on strategic thinking, stakeholder management, negotiation, and effective communication within a hybrid work setting.
Required Qualifications
- MRICS or FRICS
- Significant experience in building surveying consultancy or private practice
- Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams or regional operations
- Strong business development and client management track record
- Commercially astute with experience managing budgets and financial performance
- In-depth knowledge of UK construction, property, and regulatory frameworks
