Job Summary
Welcome guests, serve cocktails, and manage the bar environment with discretion and professionalism. Prepare drinks for cocktail service orders while ensuring the bar and equipment remain clean and fully functional. Anticipate guest needs by staying informed of beverage and menu offerings to deliver highly attentive service. Diffuse difficult situations when necessary and comply with all liquor laws and hotel policies. Accurately count cash and process transactions using company systems while operating bar equipment. This part-time, on-call role requires continuous movement and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. One year of bartending experience in a high-end establishment is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Clear, effective communication in written and verbal English
- Ability to accurately count cash and efficiently process transactions using company systems
- Ability to operate bar equipment
- Awareness of and compliance with all liquor laws, The Charles Hotel guidelines, policies and procedures
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work a varied schedule including late nights, holidays and weekends
- Fluency in English, verbally, writing and reading
