Job Summary
Assistant Manager position for REGAL ITHACA MALL CINEMAS (Part Time) in Ithaca, NY. Operates and supervises theatre staff and functions as a representative of Regal, focusing on guest satisfaction and adherence to policies. Responsibilities include training, developing, coaching, and supervising non-management employees; performing all staff positions as required; operating projection and audio-visual equipment and related systems; ensuring alcohol certification is current where applicable; monitoring risk management and safety; handling receipts and deposits; enforcing dress code and ROM; interviewing, hiring, scheduling, coaching, counseling, suspending, and disciplining employees under GM oversight; controlling costs and inventory; supervising theatre maintenance; marketing and promotions of feature film engagements and show times; reading and understanding required training materials on harassment and discrimination; and performing additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- At least three months supervisory experience, or 6 months theatre experience with completion of Cast Certification Program, or a combination thereof, or potential leadership/management skills subject to VP approval
- If selling alcohol, must be of legal age and complete required state/local training and Regal Responsible Beverage Server training
- Public speaking and effective written/oral communication skills
- Ability to perform calculations with speed and accuracy and identify errors
- Ability to identify problems, gather relevant data, consider alternatives, and recommend solutions
- Experience with PC platforms and basic office programs (email, word processing, spreadsheets)
- Ability to interface effectively with customers, the public, and co-workers; maintain sensitivity to others
- Ability to plan, budget time, and set priorities to achieve objectives
- Ability to supervise and coach employees; training, scheduling, and performance management
- Understanding and compliance with company policies, sexual harassment and discrimination training materials
