Job Summary
Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders. Consult physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource for medical and nursing staff on respiratory care. Execute duties as assigned using appropriate respiratory care devices. This role requires a graduate of a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program with a current RCP license and RRT credential. PALS certification is required for Emergency Room co-workers. Physical demands include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs, plus pinching up to 10 lbs, kneeling, crouch, and crawling minimally. Applicants must meet state licensure requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program
- Meets state licensure requirements
- Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- PALS certification (for co-workers who work in the Emergency Room)
- Physical demands: push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Physical demands: pinch up to 10 lbs
- Physical demands: kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
Desired Qualifications
- Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Critical care experience
